Beautiful thoughts. 11/11 is Veteran's Days in the States and we should honor the people who keep us free.
A great blog and one everyone should take time to reflect on.I support believe in heroes and wear the bracelet proudly for our troops and veterans. Our countries can be proud of all our troops and let's not take freedom for granted..these men and women are giving their all so we have all the good things we have. susan Leech garysue@dejazzd.com
We have Memorial Day and Veterans Day. I enjoyed hearing some of the Canadian version.
I like the quote about the subtlety of Canadian patriotism.
Always great to honor the heroes. I like the description on #9 - "mothers first"
This is a lovely tribute to those who sacrificed all for the sake of freedom.
I love In Flanders Field. This is a fabulous tribute, Adelle.
Great post, Adelle. Veteran's/Remembrance Day is not a day to be taken lightly.
I think I prefer the Canadian approach to remembrance. It somehow seems more sincere and heartfelt, in comparison to other, more bombastic approaches.
Thanks for sharing these.
happy remembrance day!!!

Wonderful post. I enjoyed reading about the Canadian perspective.
Have a great day!
Good post. My grandfather fought in WWII and I think itis important to remember what he went through. I will be happier, though, when there are no wars and no reasons for soldiers.
Great TT!
